Royal Sapien is back with his first originals collection since the Strip Poker Slot Machine LP released in 2006. Quite literally dancing around established genres and taunting them, An Incomplete Theory of Everything EP1 brings spy mystique in the form of “Clouded,” a quiet plea to unkind clubs in “Oh My God,” an altogether techno-infused love song in both mixes of “Just The Same,” and electro reflection with “SOS.” As with most Royal Sapien releases, its cinematic accents reveal a dense layering of influences and styles while staying true to the human-electronic synthesis.
